Making the decision to get professional photos done is not a decision made lightly or easily. There is much consideration that goes into the process of choosing a photographer — does their work match the tone and style that you’ve been dreaming of? Do the photos on their site or in their portfolio feel like pictures you could see yourself or family in? Do they offer packages for the types of professional photos you’re looking for? Once those are all answered and you feel like you’ve found a good fit, the next question to come is what does it cost? And for a lot of us — cost may make or break being able to have those professional photos done by the photographer you’ve found.

Because time is not something that we can get back, I believe that it’s important to be upfront regarding what services cost. You don’t want to have done a consultation or two and made up your mind to get photos done only to find out that the packages offered are not in your budget. Doing so, you not only leave yourself disappointed but have also lost time in finding another photographer and the chance at getting on their schedule.
